Troubleshooting steps in experiencing issues with Libguides
Issue: Access to this document is restricted
Solution 1: The requested document must be accessed from within Libguides. To access Libguides click the link here http://library.frontier.edu/home.
Solution 2: Sometimes there is a problem with the browser blocking third-party cookies, or when the cookie expires before the Canvas session does, normally logging out of Canvas and logging back into it will fix this.
Solution 3: The student can set their browser setting to allow third-party cookies or add an exception for libapps.com (http://libapps.com/). Follow the steps below for Solution 3.
Step 1: Setting your browser to allow third-party cookies
Go to setting in your web browser
Scroll to the bottom and click the Advanced tab
Then click on Content Settings
Next click on cookies
And finally make sure Block third-party cookies is turned off and the button next to is gray
Step 2: Add an exception for libapps.com
Go to setting in your web browser
Scroll to the bottom and click the Advanced tab
Then scroll down and click Open Proxy settings
Then on the Privacy tab under Settings click Sites
Finally, in the box under Address of website, type the following http://libapps.com/ then click allow, then OK
