How to Change Start Up Programs (Windows 10)

  1. Right-click a blank area on the task bar, then choose “Task Manager“.
  2. Select the “Startup” tab.
  3. Select any item you wish to disable or enable, then choose the “Disable” or “Enable” button at the lower right corner of the window.

*Disabling certain programs from starting up when you turn on your computer can help your computer run faster and start up more easily.

NOTE: You do not want to disable everything for example items like "HD Audio Background Process" is what manages your computer audio and you would NOT want to disable it because it could cause issues with the audio.

Only diable programs that you recognize and are failure with like Google Chrome for example.  You wouldn't need that to start automatically when you turn on your computer.
